Description
Preliminary Agreement – Domestic Building Package
Includes a x3 page, easy to use, agreement and a fact sheet about why they are necessary (applicable to both homeowners and contractors)
Before entering a building contract, builders often complete essential early-stage tasks like site investigations and reports. This is done under a Preliminary Agreement, which outlines the scope of work to prepare a fixed-price contract. A fee is usually payable (often credited later) and covers costs like engaging surveyors or engineers. As these agreements aren’t regulated under the QBCC Act, clear terms and legal advice are recommended.
